I wonder what the reason was for messing with the practical suit element at 1:49 and 1:56 ? The plate looks totally fine, but in the final shot they did some weird jump cut shit to it and made it look strange. The leg and some of the armor pieces just suddenly pop into place, and they don't do that in the original.

Ya'll should have taken the Academy for GotG 3. Godzilla+1 was good, but you could really tell that Godzilla wasn't there. Rocket, however, is very very real. The incredibly beautiful lighting on his hands, in those gloves, while opening the cage of baby raccoons brings me to tears. It is transcendent.

The Ultimate “fix it in post”- showreel. Really impressive work, love the the lens profiling part that also reminds me of the webinar with the colorist who did mindhunter and how they shot on “clean” lenses and added vintage anamorphic characteristics afterwards. The part about not storyboarding to focus on actor’s performance is just hilarious.
